Transparent pricing

No $2 card activation fee. No percentage of machine revenue.

Some plastic-card programs make the player deal with an activation fee. Redema keeps pricing predictable: a published operator subscription and no Redema per-card activation fee, load fee, reload fee, or percentage of machine revenue.

$0 vs. $2 With Redema, players are not charged a $2 card activation fee to receive their gift-card balance. That keeps the counter conversation cleaner and removes a fee complaint from every card activation.

How it works

Three steps. Zero cash handling.

From the machine to a card in Apple Pay — attributed, traceable, and on the ledger.

Step 1

Win & print

A player wins credits on a licensed Class B COAM machine and receives a printed winnings voucher.

Step 2

Scan & load

Your clerk scans the voucher on the Redema iPad. Validated winnings load instantly to the player's gift-card balance.

Step 3

Spend anywhere

The player spends from their balance with a virtual prepaid Visa card in Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Compliance

Built for compliance, from the ledger up.

Redema was designed around Georgia's noncash-redemption rules — not retrofitted to them.

What changed on July 1, 2026

Under HB 353, Georgia Class B COAM winnings may no longer be redeemed in cash. The law now allows exactly three redemption paths: replays, lottery products, and gift cards — and it expressly contemplates gift cards issued through kiosks and other automated technology, including digital forms.

Redema is built on that gift-card path: winnings load to a digital gift-card balance at the location where they were won, and players spend it through a virtual prepaid Visa. Balances load and reload only at the location where the machine is played, single-location by design.

The rules are administered by the Georgia Lottery Corporation — the official text, FAQs, and license rosters live at gacoam.com.

What that means for your floor

  • The new rules are live — Class B winnings now redeem as replays, lottery products, or gift cards. Redema keeps your floor squarely inside them.
  • Gift cards are the flexible path — replays keep value on your floor; lottery requires retailer status; gift cards give players real spendable value.
  • Records matter — noncash redemption is reported separately, and COAM records must be kept for years. Redema keeps those records for you automatically.
Built for Georgia HB 353

Designed for noncash gift-card redemption at Class B COAM locations.

Complete records

Every transaction is recorded automatically and checked daily — anything unusual goes to a person to resolve.

Flat technology fees only

We are a technology provider — never a partner in machine revenue and never a party to revenue sharing.

No cash paths, anywhere

No player funding, no peer-to-peer, no cash anywhere in the system. Cash access is disabled on the card itself.

Inspection-ready records

A receipt for every load and redemption, retained 5+ years — organized the way an audit asks for them.

Single-location loads

Balances load and reload only at the location where the machine was played — the way the statute reads.

Redema is an independent technology provider. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Georgia Lottery Corporation, and nothing on this page should be read as a claim of regulatory approval. Final program availability is subject to applicable approvals. Nothing on this site is legal or financial advice — confirm current requirements with the Georgia Lottery Corporation and your counsel.
Security & recordkeeping

Every dollar accounted for. Automatically.

Every dollar of eligible value lives on infrastructure designed to be audited — not a spreadsheet, not a stack of plastic cards in a drawer.

Everything written down for you

Every load and redemption is recorded the moment it happens — nothing to type up at closing.

Checked every night

The books check themselves overnight — anything unusual is flagged to a real person by morning.

PIN + registered device

Clerk actions work only on your location's enrolled iPad, PIN-gated, with lockout after repeated failures.

Approval gates on big moves

Over-threshold loads and reversals require operator approval by push — clerks can't move large value alone.

Your numbers always match

What clerks loaded, what players spent, and what the card issuer shows are matched up every day.

Player privacy, respected

Players sign up with just a phone number. Redema collects the minimum — and never sells data.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Search, or browse by topic. Can't find it? Ask in the chat — a real person replies — or email info@coamredemption.com.

Getting started
How do I get started?

Submit the application — it takes about three minutes and nothing is due up front. We verify your Georgia master license and each store's location license against the official GLC approved list, review your locations, and reply within 24 hours with your next step — your setup invite arrives by email.

Am I eligible?

Redema is for licensed Georgia Class B COAM location owners and operators. The application requires your business details, your Georgia master license number, and each store's location license number — all verified against the official GLC approved list.

Do I need special hardware?

Just a compatible iPad you provide. Download the Redema Clerk app, enter your enrollment code, and complete self-setup in minutes. Redema does not sell or ship hardware.

How long until my location is live?

The application takes about three minutes. Once approved, setup on your own iPad is self-service in minutes, and our team walks your clerks through their first loads.

Do my clerks need training?

The clerk terminal is built to be learned in one shift: scan the ticket, confirm the amount, done. Onboarding and clerk training are included with every subscription — no train-the-trainer fees.

Can I run multiple locations?

Yes — one dashboard covers every location, each with its own enrolled iPads, clerks, and reporting. Pricing is $399/month for the first location and $249/month for each additional.

Pricing & fees
How much does Redema cost?

$399/month for the first location and $249/month for each additional location — flat, published, and never a percentage of machine revenue. Redema sells software subscriptions only; stores provide their own compatible iPads.

Do you take a percentage of my machine revenue?

Never. Redema is a technology provider with a flat subscription. We take 0% of machine revenue, no per-card fees, no per-redemption fees, and no revenue share with anyone.

What does it cost the player?

Redema does not charge players a card activation fee, transaction fee, load fee, or reload fee for ordinary redemption. Cardholder terms from the issuing partner still apply to the prepaid card itself.

Is there a payment due when I apply?

No. The application is free and nothing is billed up front — we verify your license and follow up to get you set up.

Is there a contract or early-termination fee?

No long-term contract. Redema is month-to-month — cancel anytime, effective at the end of your billing period, with no early-termination fee.

Compliance & the law
Is this legal in Georgia?

Redema is built specifically for Georgia's Class B COAM noncash-redemption rules (HB 353). Winnings are redeemed as a digital gift-card balance — never cash. Redema is an independent technology provider and is not affiliated with the Georgia Lottery Corporation. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

What changed on July 1, 2026?

Under HB 353, every Georgia Class B location is now required to have a redemption system in place that loads winnings onto a gift card — in digital form, straight to the player's wallet — alongside replays and lottery products. That system is exactly what Redema provides.

Who regulates COAMs in Georgia?

The Georgia Lottery Corporation administers the COAM program. Official rules, FAQs, license rosters, and forms live at gacoam.com — that's also the source we sync license data from.

Can a balance be loaded at a different store than where it was won?

No. Under Georgia's rule (HB 353), a balance is loaded at the location where the winning ticket was printed.

What records do I get for a GLC inspection?

Every load and redemption produces a receipt, recorded automatically and kept for 5+ years. When an inspector asks, the records are already organized the way the question is asked.

Players & cards
What does the player actually get?

A digital gift-card balance in the Redema app, loaded at the counter in seconds. They can spend it with a virtual prepaid Visa® card — in Apple Pay or Google Pay — anywhere debit cards are accepted.

How fast are winnings available?

Instantly. The moment your clerk validates the winning ticket on the Redema iPad, the winnings load to the player's gift-card balance.

Does the player need a smartphone?

The player app runs on iOS and Android, and the balance itself is tied to the player's phone number — the QR code at the counter does the rest.

What if a player loses their phone?

The balance is tied to their phone number, not the device. Signing in on a new phone with the same number restores their balance and card — nothing is stored only on the handset.

Can the card be used at an ATM?

No. Cash access is disabled on the card by design — it works for purchases anywhere debit cards are accepted, subject to the issuer's cardholder terms.

Does the balance expire between visits?

The Redema balance is persistent and reloadable — every new win loads to the same wallet, visit after visit, with no reload fee. Issued prepaid cards carry the issuer's own cardholder terms.

What happens to wins under $10?

They still load to the player's gift-card balance immediately — nothing is lost or held back. Converting the balance onto the virtual prepaid Visa card starts at $10, so smaller wins simply keep accruing in the wallet until the balance gets there.

Can the balance be used for replays?

Yes. A player's balance can be used as play credit at your counter — keeping value on your floor — or converted to the virtual prepaid Visa gift card. Both paths run on the same ledger.

Can players check their balance?

Any time, in the Redema app — balance, card, and a receipt for every load and redemption. No guessing at the counter.

No matches for “” — ask us in the chat (bottom right) and a real person will reply.

Keep more of every redemption.
